Join Coach Dana and Physical Therapist, Dr. Michelle Gilpin for an 8-session course that brings the best in strength training combined with the expertise of a PT to help guide exercises, correct form, assess injury risk and prescribe corrective exercises. This course includes: - Pre and post course running assessment from Dr. Michelle Gilpin, PT - Weekly group strength training sessions specific to the imbalances identified in the running assessments -A small group to provide individual attention of Coach Dana and Dr. Gilpin during workouts - Home exercises tailored to your imbalances to help you progress towards your goals -Community of like minded runners
Session 1, Monday, October 5th: -Meet at Alberta park in NE Portland. Socially distanced meet and greet. Come ready to run while we get videos of everyone for the gait analysis. We will do a running drill workout this evening in the park, all paces are perfect. Sessions 2-7, Mondays, October 12th, 19th, 26th and November 2nd, 9th, 16th: -Work hard, kick imbalances to the curb, have fun. Final Session, Monday, November 23rd: - Re-assessment of each participant with video analysis and final in person, socially distanced workout at Alberta Park in NE Portland.
Classes are Monday evenings 5:00-6:15 Log in ready to work on mobility, stability and strength.
Class is $195 which includes a gait assessment (a $200 value) before and after the session, 8 weekly strength sessions and weekly PT/exercises for between sessions.
For anyone who can not join the first and final class in person for any reason, you will receive detailed instructions for sending videos for analysis and your gait analysis will be completed online.
